The incident took place around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6 in the parking garage at 2200 Bedford St., in Stamford.
A 2011 Nissan Altima being driven by an 84-year-old Stamford resident was traveling southbound through the parking garage when she struck the 73-year-old as she was walking through the garage, said Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
The pedestrian, also a Stamford resident, was reported to be trapped under the vehicle.
The Stamford Fire Rescue Department arrived on the scene and began medically treating the pedestrian, Booth said.
The pedestrian was then transported by Stamford EMS to Stamford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed, the operator of the vehicle remained on scene and spoke with investigating officers.
